My Journey

A Turning Point

Recently, I experienced an unexpected turning point in my journey. After achieving my long-held goal of working remotely, I found myself with more freedom than ever before. Last year, my days were filled with the structure and energy of the Apple Developer Academy, a busy environment that kept me engaged and constantly learning. When the Academy ended, I initially felt relieved and happy to have my time back. I spent the first half of the year indulging in leisure, playing video games, and enjoying the comfort I had earned.

But as the months passed, that comfort turned into a sense of emptiness. Without new challenges or responsibilities, I started to feel lost and unproductive. The drive that once pushed me forward was gone, and I realized I was missing a sense of purpose.

In search of answers, I reached out to my mentor, Isa. I asked him why I felt so empty, even after achieving what I thought I wanted. He encouraged me to get to know myself better, to reflect on who I am and define my life’s purpose beyond external achievements.

Now, I am dedicating the rest of the year to self-discovery. Instead of chasing the next goal, I am learning to look inward, hoping to find new meaning and direction for the future.
